Yoga & Writing Workshop
Explore and experience the natural, complementary relationship between yoga and the written word.
This afternoon event, just under 3 hours, offers a space for writers and yogis alike to delve into each of these respective practices, gaining valuable insight into how effectively they can and have been used to support one another. Yoga, with its many benefits, is also a path to creativity.
After a brief introduction, a gentle yoga practice of breathwork (pranayama) and movement (asana) will guide us towards introspection, which is our foundational state for the practice of writing. We'll then pause for a fifteen-minute break (snacks included). An hour of writing follows, whereby I will be offering guidance and gentle encouragement, and prompts for those who would like them. Choose any style of writing which calls to you: verse, prose, freeform, or reflection.
The workshop closes with the option to share your words, before leaving calm and creatively renewed.
All levels welcome.
Mats and props will be provided.
Please bring a notebook, but pens provided.
Vegan and gluten-free snacks available.
